Old Stone Fort Troop
Outing
hen you hear “Old
Stone Fort”, do you think of an old fort made of stone? We learned on this outing that “Old Stone
Fort” refers to the Woodland Indians’ ceremonial grounds. We also enjoyed fishing and hiking.
Dan Beard District Gathering
riday, April 8, 2005, through Sunday, April 10, 2005, the spring Dan Beard
District Gathering will take place at Boxwell’s Camp Stahlman. Thirteen of Troop 227’s finest will attend to
showcase their knowledge and skills as they compete with other troops from the
Dan Beard District. Last year Troop 227
brought home five ribbons from the competition.
