Cades Cove

T

his past month, the troop's great adventure was to Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  The wind, rain, and lightning did not dampen the spirits of the troop as we journeyed toward the park.

Upon arrival, there was a break in the clouds which allowed the troop to make the 5 mile roundtrip hike to beautiful Abram Falls.

A

t the end of the day, we enjoyed listening to stories by the fire and violin music played by one of the Scouts.  The highlight of the weekend was the Webelos Scouts and their fathers from Cub Scout Pack 227 camping with our troop.  Everyone is very excited about these fine Webelos Scouts joining Troop 227!
