W

e left the Scout house at 8:00 Friday morning.  We took four hours to arrive at Reel Foot Lake.  We set up our camp site.  After this, we went to the Mississippi River to fish.  We only caught two fish while there, and Caleb caught both of these.  Then we boarded the bus and traveled to Hickman, Kentucky.  There we rode the ferry across the Mississippi River to Missouri and back.

O

n Saturday we went fishing on Reelfoot Lake in flat bottom boats with outboard motors.  In addition to fishing with rod and reels with natural and artificial baits, we also tried some jug fishing.  Will caught a very small fish.  This was the last fish caught.  At the end of the day, we saw a bald eagles’ nest.  We returned to our campsite, packed up, and loaded the bus.

T

he Scout leaders treated us to a soft drink for being good Scouts.  We returned to the Scout house at about 9:00 PM on Saturday night.  It was a good outing.
