Welcome New Scout!

Troop 227 welcomes its newest Scout Sam. Let’s all encourage this fine young man as he journeys toward becoming an Eagle Scout.

Justin’s Eagle Project Update

n Saturday, January 27th, troop members, family, and friends helped Justin complete the new trail he built as a part of his Eagle project at Angel Heart Horse Farm in Nolensville, TN. Justin says, “Thanks to all of you who helped on my Eagle Project! The kids at the farm were so excited that we were able to finish. I really appreciate everything you have done.”

Harlem Globetrotters

n January 7, a group of Boy Scouts from Troop 227 and their families attended the Harlem Globetrotters event at the Gaylord Entertainment Center. Will was selected from the crowd to participate in Globetrotter University and did a fantastic job. Everyone had a lot of fun.

Popcorn Update

adly, Troop 227’s run of winning the Dan Beard District’s top seller prize came an end this year. Our troop’s top two popcorn sellers were:

Will - $1510

Nathan - $1162

or selling over $600 in popcorn, these Scouts were rewarded with an invitation to attend a BSA-sponsored rock climbing event in Nashville.

· Feb. 10 – Troop outing to Oak Ridge to earn Nuclear Science merit badge.

· Feb. 19 – Troop meeting. 6:30 PM.

· Feb. 24 – Will’s Eagle Project. Carter House. Franklin, TN.

· Feb. 26 – PLC. Shoney’s in Brentwood. 7:00 PM.
