A few days ago, a group of scouts stood beside Alabama’s governor as he signed sweeping changes in their state ethics laws.  The governor wanted to send the message that all elected officials should live their lives by the Scout Law: trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

At the beginning of Troop 227 meetings, we stand and recite the scout law because it is the foundation of our Scouting program.  Let’s live each day by these simple twelve points not only by our words, but by our deeds.

Just A Reminder

One of the financial resources which fund our troop activities is the Kroger gift card.  If you would like a card or know of a friend, neighbor, or family member who’d like to support us, please contact Mellie Brackett at 793-5462 or mbrackett@mac.com.
