Appalachian Trail Plans CHANGED!

P

lans have changed for the trip to the Appalachian Trail.  Now, all scouts in the troop are invited to go on this trip.  The scouts who don’t go on the Appalachian Trail overnight hike will campout together at our base camp near Fontana Dam and follow a program more suitable to their skill level.  Details and costs for this trip will be made available as soon as they are available.

Summer Camp Highlights

T

roop 227 recently completed a fun and exciting week at Boxwell Summer Camp.  We had fourteen scouts from our troop and two visitors from Troop 243, Sean and Todd.  Of these sixteen scouts, this was the second year at camp for most, with five first timers and one third timer.  The first timers were Chad, Caleb, Armando, Elyar, and William.  We had a lot of fun hands-on activities and helped each other in every way we could.  Next year, we hope to have even more scouts come to Boxwell.
