n May 19-20, 2006,
Troop 227 and several guests canoed approximately 11 miles on the

anoes were
flipping over like it was going out of style.
In some cases, they even flipped over accidentally. For some, this was their first-ever time to
go canoeing. A good time was had by all.

what is their favorite thing about Scouting and nine out of ten will tell you
they love summer camp. It is difficult
to put into a few words why summer camp is so much fun. You really need to try it for yourself to
understand.

his will be the
fourth year in a row Troop 227 has attended summer camp at Boxwell. Many rank advancements and merit badges will
be earned, but better than that, these young men will grow another giant step
toward becoming the kind of men we all want to see them become. They will develop good character, strong
values, and excellent leadership.
Upcoming Troop Events

June 2-4 – OA Spring Ordeal.

June 5 –
Court of Honor, 6:30 PM. Crieve Hall
Chapel. Class A uniform. Bring refreshments.

June 12 – Troop meeting, 6:30 PM.
·
June 19 – Troop
meeting.
·
June 25-30 – Summer
Camp at Boxwell. Monthly PLC will be
conducted during camp week.
Future Dates

July 28-30 – Fishing trip.

Aug. 27-29 – Wilderness Survival.
