Through much patience and hard work, many scouts in Troop 227 have recently advanced rank!

Andrew, Benjamin, Curt, Donovan, Hunter, and Nicholas successfully passed their Board of Review to advance from First Class to Star Scout!  To achieve this rank, scouts must be active in their troop for at least four months, earn six additional merit badges, volunteer for community service projects, and demonstrate scout spirit.

Congratulation goes to Jacob for advancing from Star to Life Scout!  Jacob achieved this rank by staying active in his troop for at least six months, earn five additional merit badges beyond Star Scout, participated in community service projects, while demonstrating scout spirit.

Logan, Luke, and Paden earned the highest rank, Eagle Scout!  Generally, only five percent of all scouts will achieve this rank.  Scouts earned this rank by being active in their troop for at least six months, earn a total of 21 merit badges, lived by the principles of the scout oath and law, plus plan and conduct their Eagle Scout project.

Logan’s Eagle project involved building quality benches for a prominent historical mansion in Nashville, which benefits visitors and local students.  Luke built a covered playground bench for his elementary school, so teachers could sit in the shade while watching students during outdoor activities.  Paden enhanced his high school soccer field by clearing brush and removing hazardous tree limbs near the team bench, plus installed a flag pole at the entrance of the field.

Needless to say, everyone is very proud of the hard work and dedication of these fine scouts!!!!

New Scout Member

Troop 227 welcomes Jared as their newest member!  At a recent Pack 227 award ceremony, Jared was presented the Webelos badge.  In a special crossover ceremony, Jared said farewell to his Pack, while being welcomed by his new fellow scouts into the troop.  Jared, welcome to Troop 227!!!

Just A Reminder

If the troop has not received your new medical form, please take a few minutes to provide us with this important information.  Parents are to complete Part A and Part B.  Part C is to be done by your health-care provider for those participating in scout activities longer than 72 hours (i.e. summer camp) or any high adventure activity.  Disregard Part D, unless you will be participating in one of the high adventure programs.
