Oak Ridge Troop Outing

O

n February 10, 2007, seven scouts went to the historic town of Oak Ridge, TN to earn the Nuclear Science Merit Badge in one day. Oak Ridge was one of the "secret" cities created in the 1940s to help with production of the Atomic Bomb. After earning the merit badge, everyone had a wonderful time touring the museum, playing with hands-on displays, and hanging around in the gift shop. All in all, everyone had a good time and a full day earning this merit badge.

Will’s Eagle Project

O

n February 24, Will completed his Eagle Project which was to clear out and extend approximately 50 feet a replica trench line which is similar to the one used as a portion of the Federal Army’s breastworks during the Battle of Franklin, November 30, 1864.
