Girl Scout Cookies…YUM!
On Saturday, February 12th, six Scouts from Troop 227 were involved in a unique service project.
The service project involved Girl Scout cookies and included unloading, organizing, and preparing orders for 40,000 boxes of Girl Scout cookies!
The day started early having to be ready to begin work at 7:00am. The boys worked hard and were treated to CiCi's pizza that afternoon by the Reids in honor of their son’s birthday.
The boys were commended several times for their hard work and manners, and for demonstrating their scout spirit throughout the day!
We have been asked to come back next year to help as well.

Junior Leader Training
On February 25th & 26th, Troop 227 conducted Junior Leadership Training with scouts assigned to new leadership positions.
The purpose of the workshop was to learn about a leadership style that works great in Scouting, learn how to work together to accomplish a common goal, and learn how to deal with problems as a leader in Scouting. The scouts concluded Friday evening with a campfire program with storytelling and a devotional.
Everyone enjoyed their time together.
