Introduction
Welcome to the eighty-ninth
edition of our Troop 227 Newsletter. To learn more about Boy Scouts, please

Memorial Day Flag Placement
The Middle Tennessee Council, Boy Scouts of America, invites you to
attend the Annual Memorial Day Flag Placement.
This
tradition was started approximately 40 years ago and is just one of the many
ways the Scouts can demonstrate their patriotism and citizenship for our
nation's veterans.
This year, the Middle Tennessee Council will
conduct flag placements at the following locations:
Nashville National Cemetery - 7:30 am, 1420 Gallatin
Road South, Madison, TN 37115
Stones River National Cemetery - 10:00 am, 3501 Old
Nashville Hwy., Murfreesboro, TN 37129 (Please
carpool as parking is very limited)
Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery - Pegram - 8:00 am, 7931 McCrory Lane, Nashville, TN 37221
If you would like to participate in this
event, please let the Scoutmaster know which cemetery you prefer to
attend. Every person participating will
receive a patch. Come join us!!!
Just
A Reminder
If the troop has not received your
new medical form, please take a few minutes to provide us with this important
information. Parents are to complete Part
A and Part B. Part C is to be done by
your health-care provider for those participating in scout activities longer
than 72 hours (i.e. summer camp) or any high adventure activity. Disregard Part D, unless you will be
participating in one of the high adventure programs.
