Appalachian Trail

C

ongratulations to the following five scouts from Troop 227 who successfully navigated about 8 miles of the Appalachian Trail on August 6 and 7, 2004.

T

he remainder of the troop camped just below Fontana Dam and worked on rank advancement and other fun activities.  The trip was capped off Saturday night with a hilarious reading from Chris Paul, a touching flag burning ceremony, and the introduction of Campfire Ashes to the scouts of Troop 227.

t long last, Troop 227 now has a website.  The web address is

The site has only a welcome page currently.  If anyone is interested in helping with it, please contact our troop Scribe Justin or one of the adult troop leaders.
