forty-sixth edition of our Troop 227

ine Scouts, four
troop leaders, and one father from Troop 227 tamed the wild whitewaters of the
Ocoee River on August 25th with the help of river guides Sarah, Justin, and
Goose. Whitewater rapids are rated on a
scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the most hazardous. Our journey included mostly category 2 and 3
rapids with a couple of category 4s.
Each section of rapids has its own identity such as Broken Nose, Table
Saw, Surprise Ledge, and Gonzo. The
Scouts who attended this event declared that they all want to return to the
Ocoee next year.

who did not go on the Ocoee white water rafting trip went downtown to the
Dragon Boat Races where we volunteered to help clean up the area where the crowds
were watching the races. The three
scouts who helped in this community service project were Luke, Benjamin, and
Nathan. We went around
